Comprare e vendere pazienti: legge, etica e business

Is it legal to buy and sell patients? Who has an interest in buying and selling patients? How does this activity take place? Are the purposes always commercial? What are the tax consequences? Are there deontological constraints on the buying and selling of patients? What forecasts can be made for the future in our sector? We will try to answer all these questions with particular reference to the dental and orthodontic world. We will describe who are the subjects involved in this type of transaction and what legal instruments are mainly used. We will describe situations in which the buying and selling of patients is not only permitted but even mandatory. We will then analyze the delicate phenomenon of intra-family or extra-family generational passage, during which the value of patients is a real corporate asset. Finally, we will address the topic from the perspective of Marketing and, in particular, Digital Marketing, to understand how, inside and outside of any hypocrisy, the buying and selling of patients develops and takes place in a competitive context that will change radically over the next 10 years.
